ZywOo wakes up late in Riyadh to power Vitality to the Gamers8 final
G2 were looking to make it a rematch of the IEM Cologne 2023 final when they took on Vitality in the semi-final with HooXi and his boys looking eagerly for another final appearance and wanting to end CS:GO with more silverware. Vitality meanwhile were trying to make it to their first final since the Major, as their new-look squad had a couple of rough results.
G2's pick of Inferno saw G2 start on the T side and a double m0NESY opener at A short helped them take the opening pistol but a Magisk solo triple B hold with the FAMAS saw Vitality reply with a force buy as Spinx closed it out with a 1v1 against jks. Vitality went 3-1 up before a NiKo double opener helped G2 get back on the board. Vitality went on a five-round streak, as they were shutting down G2 executes with only nades, to take the half before G2 got their third. G2 could manage just one more, which was the final round of the half as Vitality ended the first half with a dominant 11-4 lead.

Vitality picked up the second half pistol, as they opened up the B site with a nade kill again and were 14-7 up before G2 woke up on the defensive half and pulled it back to 12 rounds before Vitality closed Inferno at 16-12.

Vitality's Anubis was up next as G2 started on the T side. ZywOo's triple saw Vitality take the pistol and it was again a hot start from the Paris Major champions as they started with six straight rounds. A quad kill from Vitality's captain which ended with a 1v2 saw them win the half at 8-1. G2 replied with six of their own to make it a respectable half at 8-7 as Vitality held a one-round lead.
A NiKo and huNter- full house helped G2 tie up the game as they picked up the second pistol. It was a strong defensive-sided start from G2 as they went 14-9 up. Vitality could manage only one more as G2 powered by NiKo's 26 kills closed the map at 16-10 to take the series to a third map.
The series decider was on Mirage with G2 starting on the CT side. A NiKo and m0NESY double helped them pick up the pistol to turn around a 3v4 but a Spinx triple on the force buy tied things up. Vitality went 3-1 up before G2 got five on the trot to put their CT side back on track. An intuitive apEX late push from A ramp boxed in G2 to see Vitality get their fourth. It was a strong end to the half from G2 as they finished with a 9-6 lead.
A Magisk triple from Ticket saw Vitality take the final pistol but G2 responded with a force buy to secure their tenth. The round trading continued as Vitality answered back with two saved weapons. Vitality made it three-in-a-row, with Magisk coming in with crucial multi-kill rounds. to take the lead at 11-10. G2 replied with three fast executes that saw them retake the lead to go 13-11 up. A huNter- triple opener on the B site saw G2 secure map point. flameZ came in with a crucial 1v1 against HooXi to keep Vitality in the game at 15-13 and the two Israelis from Vitality pulled them through to overtime.
ZywOo kicked off overtime with an incredible triple that saw the French AWPer take the round by its horns. ZywOo single-handedly made sure Vitality were flawless on the opening half of overtime and Vitality turned around a 3v5 to close the map at 19-15 to take the series as flameZ closed it out with an incredible 1v3 on the B site. It was flameZ on top of the scoreboard with 31 kills.
