Gods Reign dominate KingPins to book ASUS ROG Showdown Series final spot

The first semifinal of the ASUS ROG Showdown Series saw Gods Reign take on KingPins in the best of three encounter.

The opening map was Gods Reign's pick of Vertigo and it was an incredible start from Gods Reign as Crazy_Gamer was making sure his aggressive openers gave Gods Reign them the early advantage. Backed by reV3nnnn's precise AWPing and Crazy_Gamer's entries, Gods Reign dropped just two rounds in the opening half as it was a 13-2 lead on the T side for Gods Reign.

Clouda's B hold helped Gods Reign pick up the second pistol and Gods Reign barely broke a sweat after, securing the opening map at 16-2.

KingPin's pick of Mirage was the second one with Ember's 1v2 giving Gods Reign the opening pistol on T side. A Benzene triple in round 4 saw KingPins get their first round on board. Gods Reign immediately answered back with two before ELV1S ninja defused against reV3nnnn in a 1v1 to give the CT side their second round. ELV1S once again ninja defused against Ember to get KingPins within one round but Ember turned it around against ELV1S in a 1v1 on the A site to help Gods Reign win out the half. Gods Reign ended the opening half on Mirage with a 9-6 lead.

Gods Reign secured both pistols on Mirage and secured double digits in no time before KingPins got their T side underway. It was reV3nnnn with a 1v2 that put Gods Reign on match point and Gods Reign closed it out at 16-11 to book their spot in the grand final.
