ESL to re-evaluate BO1s in CS2

In a recent post on X, Marc Winther, the Head of Game Ecosystems at ESL, shared his apprehensions regarding MR12 BO1s in the context of CS2. As CS2 transitions to a more concise format, BO1 matches can potentially become exceedingly short, a concern also echoed by professional players.

However, Marc emphasized that any significant alterations won't be implemented right away, but a thorough evaluation is more likely to take effect in 2024. Consequently, the forthcoming IEM Sydney event is scheduled to include BO1 matches as part of its format.
