Gods Reign humbled by GR Gaming
It was a less than ideal start for Gods Reign as they took on GR Gaming in their matchup at the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2023: Asian Open Qualifier.
The BO1 took place on Ancient with Gods Reign starting strongly as they went on to take a 7-5 lead, at the conclusion of the first half. The Indian team though, just did not turn up once they switched sides as GR Gaming swept the 8-0 in the second half to secure the map at 13-7.
With that the Indian team's campaign comes to an end but GR Gaming moves on to Round 2, where they will face the newly formed Rare Atom roster, who also took down Lynn Vision by the same margin in their opening match.
The other Indian team, ROG Academy also went down in their game against Steel Helmet, after having to forfeit their game as they were simultaneously taking part in the DreamHack qualifiers
