G2 out of CS2 Asia Championship

G2 have announced that they will not participate in the upcoming CS2 Asia Championship, 2023 which is scheduled to take place in Shanghai between November 8 - November 12, 2023.

G2 will be replaced at the event by Wings Up, who go through after finishing third in the Perfect World Arena Premier League S5 event. The reason for G2's withdrawal from the tournament wasn't mentioned though.

The withdrawal from G2 comes during a time when rumours are swirling about their two stars m0NESY and NiKo leaving the team to join Falcons.

With Wings Up joining, they become the third Chinese majority team to take part in front of their home crowd along with TYLOO and Lynn Vision in the $500,000 event.

G2 though aren't the only ones who have decided to withdraw, last month Liquid backed out as well, which saw NIP join the event.
