Wings Up qualify for IEM China Closed Qualifier

After defeating ManSland 13-11 in the opening match ofIEM China Open Qualifier 2, Wings Up met Noobs But Diligent who defeated Rare Atom by 13-9 for a spot in the Closed Qualifier.

The BO3 kicked off on Noobs But Diligent's pick of Anubis, where they started on the T-side. As T-sided Anubis is, they kicked off the proceedings with a 6-0 start. With Blogg1s contributing with his multi-kills, Wings Up managed to secure 3 rounds on their CT side.

Blogg1s was a cut above the rest in the BO3 with his 1.29 rating

In the second half, Wings Up took off with a 5-0 start, closing the lead by 9-8. While Noobs But Diligent retaliated with a couple of bombsite retakes, Wings Up sealed the deal at 13-11, by stringing together 5 rounds in a row.

Next up was Wings Up's pick of Nuke, where despite losing the pistol, they answered back with 3 round wins. Noobs But Diligent tried their best to make their CT half competitive by securing 3 rounds. However, Wings Up found their momentum in the latter part of the half, taking their T-score to 8-4.

Despite an impeccable T half, Wings Up couldn't carry over the momentum as they got a slow start to their start. As a result, Noobs But Diligent levelled the score at 8-8. After that, a back and forth affair entailed, and the game headed to overtime. In OT, Wings Up edged out their opponent by a 16-13 score.
