The MongolZ sent home from Cluj-Napoca by Astralis

The MongolZ knocked out

The MongolZ’s run at the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 came to an end in the quarter-finals at the hands of cadiaN’s Astralis as a sloppy showing from the Asian team ended their hopes of picking up their first silverware of the year.

The MongolZ were unable to capitalise on an early pistol win on their T side on Mirage as impact from jabbi helped Astralis pick up a two round lead at the half before a strong T side from the Danes saw them close their opponents’ pick at 13-8 with The MongolZ’s double AWP set up failing miserably.

A trade of rounds kicked off the action on Inferno, which saw the half end with a tied scor before The MongolZ ran away on their T side. The Danes though hung on against four map points to push Inferno to overtime. A flawless affair in overtime saw Astralis close out the series with a 16-12 win on Inferno.
