Rider: "We were keeping our strats for the playoffs"

Despite losing both their BO1s against Firedup Gaming, Enigma Gaming has secured a spot in the playoffs of DreamHack Hyderabad 2023. After their game, we caught up with Rider, who talked to us about the game.

Were you really expecting Firedup Gaming to perform on such a high level?

Firedup? No we didn't. We actually didn't play that hard against them because we were keeping our strats for the playoffs.

You had a really good CT half on Anubis but things crumbled on the T-side. What happened?

Actually they were doing all the anti-strats. Wherever we wanted to go, they were blocking it off with smokes. They saw us playing yesterday against Gods Reign, obviously they were watching us.

On Nuke, your T-side couldn't get going. What went wrong?

Actually, Nuke is totally CT sided. If you don't get enough rounds on the T-side, you cannot do anything on the CT side. So we were not able to cope up. The players were also a bit tired.

You will now face Marcos Gaming in the semi-final. How tough do you think that match is going to be?

We are already ready for them.
