Gods Reign's pick of Ancient was the series opener with reV3nnnn kicking off things with a knife that gave Gods Reign the opening pistol on the T side. Gods started with the pistol and conversion but it was Legacy who fought back to take a slight lead at 7-5.
Legacy continued the momentum to take the second pistol and it was another back and forth half that saw the action head over to overtime. Gods Reign eventually closed it out at 16-13 with Ph1NNN putting in a strong performance in the series opener with 26 kills including a match-changing 1v4 that kept his team in the game.
Mirage was Legacy's pick and it was Gods Reign starting with a clean pistol on their CT side. It was a lop-sided opening half which saw Gods Reign run away with a 10-2 lead. L0ngBarrel's 1v1 against Crazy_Gamer saw Legacy start with the second pistol. Legacy held on in the conversion but once the guns came out, Gods Reign didn't waste any time in closing out Mirage at 13-5 with Ph1NNN ending things out with a 1v2.
With a quick and convincing 2-0 over Legacy Esports, Gods Reign wins the Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2023 and will be taking home the trophy and a prize money of INR 3.5 lakh. The runner-up, Legacy Esports will be taking home INR 1.5 lakh.
