Gods Reign go down fighting to MiraiGaming

After taking down Pakistan's Guardian 5, Gods Reign were up against MiraiGaming in their Lower Bracket run of the ESEA Season 47 Open Asia Playoffs.

MiraiGaming 13 - 8 Gods Reign (Overpass)

Gods Reign pick of Overpass was the series opener with MiraiGaming starting with a strong 9-3 opening half lead. While Gods Reign tried to pull a comeback, the first half deficit was a bit too much as MiraiGaming hung on for a 13-8 win to draw first blood in the series.

MiraiGaming 16 - 13 Gods Reign (Mirage)

Mirage was MiraiGaming's pick and it was Gods Reign who took the opening pistol and started with a 4-0 lead before MiraiGaming got their first round. It was MiraiGaming, though, ending the first half with a two-round lead at 7-5.

Gods secured the second pistol as well and quickly tied up the score at 7-7. Gods Reign went on to make it five rounds in a row to take a 10-7 lead before MiraiGaming got their first round in the second half. MiraiGaming quickly tied up the score at 10-10. Gods Reign secured map point first but it was MiraiGaming who hung to to take the game to overtime, ending regulation at 12-12.

It was MiraiGaming who managed to turn it around to secure Mirage at 16-13 as 7nation and Geneka topped the scoreboard with 25 and 24 kills respectively to clean up Gods Reign 2-0.

Gods Reign will go up next against Japanese team Ravens, who were recently picked up by German organisation ICEWOLVES. The Indian team will fight it out in the decider match, with the winner making it to the ECL S46 Relegation.
