Massive CS2 Ban Wave

A huge ban wave has been riding across CS2 these past couple of days. The world’s #1 ranked premier player has also been handed down a VAC ban alongside many others on the premier leaderboards.

In contrast to the December VAC wave, there have been negligible number of false positives so far. Alongside bugs and exploits, cheaters have played a significant role in plaguing the Counter-Strike 2 experience for the community.

Nearly a month ago, @gabefollower shared his findings on X regarding parameter headings containing the keyword “suspicious_hit”. This VAC wave is speculated to be connected with the same in some way.

While the majority believe that this could be VAC Live’s initial steps, a few speculate that the bans handed down to the premier leaderboard players could have been after manual reviews.
