Gods Reign to skip out Esportz Premier Grand Final
In a recent turn of events, Dust2 India has received information that Gods Reign will be unable to participate in the Esportz Premier Series Grand Final. This unfortunate circumstance arises due to a potential clash with the Closed Qualifier matches of the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024.
Gods Reign originally intended to participate in the Closed Qualifier from a gaming cafe in Mumbai and sought Esportz to adjust the Finals' schedule. Unfortunately, due to the limited time available, Esportz couldn't accommodate the request. Thus to prioritize the Closed Qualifiers, Gods Reign had to retract from the tournament.
Gods Reign had secured the spot in the LAN Final, where a substantial prize pool of 2.5L awaited the first-place winner and 1.25L for the second-place team, and was set to face off against Enigma Gaming.
In light of Gods Reign's unavailability, the mantle will now be taken up by the new lineup of Marcos Gaming, who recently acquired the KingPins roster to announce their return to Counter-Strike. KingPins were the finalists in the second qualifier final of the Esportz Premier Series 2023 Qualifier2 under the Revenant tag and get an entry to the final, now through their new team.
The Finale will feature the following lineups:
