Brackets for Skyesports Showdown out

Gods Reign not taking part

Skyesports has revealed the brackets for their upcoming online Counter-Strike 2 event, which boasts of a prize pool of INR 1,00,000.

The tournament which follows two Phases, will see the Open Qualifiers follow a single elimination format and the top 4 teams from Phase 1 will be moving to Phase 2, which will follow the double elimination bracket and the games from the Ro8 onwards will be BO3, with the ones before that stage being BO1s. The action will kick off from May 28, with Phase 1 lasting till May 29, 2024 while Phase 2 will get underway from May 31, 2024 and last till June 2, 2024.

The Open Qualifiers have teams such as True Rippers, Marcos Gaming, Carnival Gaming and CRESCENT amongst others taking part but the big surprise is that there is no Gods Reign taking part in the event.

The eight winning teams from the opening round of games will move into Round 2, which will also follow a BO1 format and we will have the final four teams from there move into Phase 2.

The schedule for the Open Qualifiers is as follows:

Round 1

  • True Rippers vs Lethals

  • Rage.GG vs Retaliation

  • Smoke Esports vs ROG Academy

  • Gameworld Esports vs Marcos Gaming

Round 1

  • Old School Esports vs Victores Sumus

  • The Old School vs AcE

  • Frag Theory vs CRESCENT

  • Carnival Gaming vs Invasion Esports

Skyesports hasn't revealed any details about the match timings or stream schedule either yet.
