BLEED reverse-sweep ATOX
The upper bracket semi-final at the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 saw BLEED take on home team ATOX in the BO3 encounter.
Starting off on the CT-side of Inferno, BLEED won the pistol round but ATOX stole the anti-eco, shattering the CT-economy. ATOX kept BLEED on their toes, contesting aggressively for map control and eventually tearing through the defense, sliding an 8-4 first half in their favor.
hampus and nawwk led the charge for BLEED in a T-side comeback where the team put up 6 rounds in a row to neutralize ATOX's lead. BLEED were in the driver's seat at 10-9 but ATOX adapted and kept the Ts at bay, not giving them a single round thereafter. ATOX closed out Inferno 13-10, going 1-0 up in the series.
faveN and jkaem propelled BLEED to a 4-0 start on the CT-side of Anubis but could not capitalize and build on it. BLEED could not contain ATOX's T-side and ended up conceding a 5-7 disadvantage despite their early lead. Conceding just the pistol and anti-eco, BLEED put up a near flawless T-side, stringing up 8 rounds in a row to take the map away from ATOX. BLEED's 13-9 win on Inferno levelled the series, pushing it into the decider.
The decider took us to Ancient where both teams traded rounds back and forth in the first half but BLEED edged a slight 7-5 lead. BLEED won their CT-side pistol round but conceded the anti-eco but returned the favor with a force-buy of their own in the very next round. Dropping just a single round in the half, BLEED derailed ATOX's CT-side to secure a 13-6 win, closing out the series 2-1.
BLEED's win against ATOX have netted them an upper-bracket final with TheMongolz for a shot at the grand-final, whereas the home team with either face GaiminGladiators or Lynn Vision in the lower bracket quarter-final with their backs against elimination.
