WEC 2024 regional schedule announced

Esports Federation of India (ESFI) took to X yesterday to announce the schedule for the 16th World Esports Championship's (WEC) regional qualifiers. The African qualifier for African Championship Esports Championship Casablanca 2024 is already underway and is set to conclude on 21st June 2024.

Asian and Oceanic qualifiers for the Asian Esports Championship (AEC) Chengdu 2024 will commence later this month on 22nd June 2024 and will run till 10th July 2024. The AEC Chengdu 2024 slot distribution through the qualifiers is a follows:

• East Asian qualifier: 1

• Southeast Asian qualifier: 2

• South Asian qualifier: 3

• Central Asian qualifier: 4

• West Asian qualifier: 4

• Oceanic qualifier: 1

European and American qualifiers will take place through July 2024 and conclude in early-August 2024. Following the Asian and African qualifiers, AEC Chengdu and AEC Casablanca 2024 will run as LAN events with six WEC 2024 slots up for grabs for Asian and Oceanic teams and three slots for the African teams.

African Esports Championship 2024 begins on 17th August 2024 in Casablanca and the Asian Esports Championship kicks off on July 9th 2024 in Chengdu.
