The MongolZ see off the M80 test

M80's EWC campaign ended by The MongolZ

The MongolZ continued their run at the Last Chance Stage at the Esports World Cup 2024 against M80 as Asia's best were once again fighting to stay alive after having dispatched MIBR earlier in the day.

With Ancient being the battleground, The MongolZ's pistol win on their T side to get things started saw them start with three in a row before M80's defence got going as soon as they brought out the guns. An aggressive CT hold early on saw M80 tie up the score at 3-3 before mzinho saved The MongolZ with a 1v2 to make sure the Asian team didn't drop a 5v2 in attempt to punish the saving attempts. The MongolZ eventually ended with a 7-5 lead.

Techno and Senzu make sure The MongolZ picked up both pistols. While the second half force buy helped M80 put up a couple of rounds on their T side, The MongolZ made sure there was no scope of having their opponents come close as the closed it out at 13-8. The MongolZ now will take on FURIA in the Last Chance Stage Final with the winner set to make it to the Playoffs.
