Skyesports Championship 2024 off to a shaky start

XANTARES fumes at Skyesports Championship 2024 set up

Tech-delays plague high-profile event

The much anticipated Skyesports Championship 2024 kicked off today with The MongolZ taking on True Rippers and Revenant going up against Eternal Fire. True Rippers put up an electrifying half against The MongolZ, giving Indian Counter-Strike fans a dream start to the event but logistics wise, the event took an early hit.

Just as True Rippers closed out a massive 8-4 half against The MongolZ and Eternal Fire started to gain momentum against Revenant but both streams went into a pause and the screens transitioned into a break. An indefinite tech pause was later suspected to be the result of a power cut. After a lengthy pause the games resumed but went offline again within minutes. BLEED's coach kassad took to X to confirm the power outage.

Eternal Fire's star rifler and one of Counter-Strike's best raw-aimers XANTARES took to X to express his discontent towards the situation, their setups and the technical snags. The Turkish rifler claims that the tables were in a bad condition with "nails" left on the surface. Pointing out the electricity and internet outages, XANTARES goes out to say - "I have never seen such a bad tournament in my life."
