Niory Esports forfeits Asia RMR Open Qualifier quarter-final

Niory drops to lower bracket

Niory Esports, who made their way to the quarter-finals of the Asia RMR Open Qualifier, have forfeited their match against Forward as a result of power outage.

The veto for the BO3 series was done as the action was supposed to kick off on Forward's pick of Mirage but Niory suffered from power outage, which affected their players and ended up with the mixed team, consisting of two Indians, having to forfeit. The result drops Niory to the lower bracket, where they will battle it out in the 5th-6th palce decider, with the winner of that game booking a direct Asia RMR Closed Qualifier spot.

Niory boasts of Indian players such as N1kace and BuNTz along with foreign players such as KarmaN and Wadeshot. The other Indian team in the Open Qualifier, who is still alive is Victores Sumus and they are currently playing their quarter-final against Revenge.
