TALON, Mindfreak maintain upper-bracket status in Oceanic Closed Qualifier
After blitzing through the open qualifiers, TALON took on Housebets in the opening round of the Oceanic Closed Qualifier. nettik and hazr made life very hard for Housebets on the T-side of Anubis, constantly catching the Ts as they set themselves up to execute. BRACE spent the entirety of the first half with no frags to his name.
A 9-3 CT-half set TALON up for success as ADDICT and nettik tore through Housebets' CT-defense, picking up a comfortable 13-4 win to move up to the upper-bracket semi-finals.

Mindfreak squared up against Arcade in the last match of the opening round. The bo1 took us to Mirage where Arcade started on the CT-side with a 4-0 lead, eventually locking in an 8-4 first half. pain's AWP flipped the narrative for Mindfreak on their CT-side, catching up to Arcade's lead and eventually tying things up at 12-12.
On either side, it was the AWP that was making waves with pain and versa dropping multi-frags round after round. Right as Arcade were about close the map in second overtime, Rickeh held the line with an AWP of his own, pushing the game into a third overtime. Mindfreak closed out Mirage in third overtime 22-19 with pain stacking 36 frags.

As the final round of games conclude in the first round of the Oceanic Closed Qualifier, the upper-bracket and initial lower-bracket matchups have taken shape. At 14:30 IST, two upper bracket games will see Rooster taking on The Art of War and Mindfreak taking on TALON followed by two lower bracket games at 15:30 IST in which Vantage take on KZG and Arcade take on Housebets.
