Arcade, Mindfreak book lower-bracket final

Vantage’s roster issues come back to haunt them

Vantage who’ve already forfeited a game before due to their roster issues were set to face Mindfreak in the lower-bracket semi-final but once again, the team couldn’t field a full roster on time, giving Mindfreak a free pass into the lower-bracket final as Vantage end their closed qualifier journey in the lower-bracket semi-final.

In the second lower-bracket semi-final, the first map took us to Nuke where Arcade started on the T-side. Early openings from supar and TRIPLUS gave Arcade a 4-0 lead but a 120 ADR CT-side showing from BaN4na kept The Art of War in the game at 6-6.

Switching over, Arcade dropped just three rounds in the second half as versa’s CT-side AWPing took the game away from The Art of War. A 13-9 win saw Arcade take a 1-0 lead in the series. Due to technical issues The Art of War forfeited the second map, giving the series to Arcade.
