True Rippers stay alive in the lower bracket
After falling to Niory in the upper bracket quarter-final, True Rippers were battling for survival at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Closed Qualifier as they faced DEWA United in the lower bracket game.
DayMake and True Rippers' new IGL, Rossi made sure the Indian team got off to a strong start on their pick of Inferno, starting with an 8-4 lead before picking up a relatively comfortable 13-5 win. Anubis, DEWA United's pick, saw True Rippers start with five-straight rounds before the Indonesian team picked up their first CT round. Following an 8-4 lead at the half, Rossi and Crunchy's doubles saw True Rippers lock in their ninth. Force buys from DEWA United made sure they turned it around as they won Anubis 13-10.
The decider on Ancient saw the Indian team start with a two round lead on their T side, but the CT pistol and conversion tied up the score early on in the second half. Once they brought out the guns, it was a clean hold from True Rippers as Crazy_Gamers' aggressive plays helped the Indian team gain crucial ground across the map. True Rippers closed out Ancient at 13-7 to lock in a 2-1 series win to keep themselves alive in the RMR Closed Qualifier.
True Rippers will now face Forward, tomorrow, in the lower bracket BO3 match as they look to keep their lower bracket run going.
