The MongolZ, Rare Atom are the Asian representatives at IEM Rio 2024

Rare Atom met TYLOO last month in the grand-final of the Asian closed qualifier for IEM Rio 2024 and emerged victorious, booking their IEM Rio 2024 slot. Based on their ESL World Ranking, The MongolZ have received a direct invite to IEM Rio 2024, making them and Rare Atom the Asian representatives at the event.

ESL took to X yesterday, confirming the final set of teams that will be a part of IEM Rio 2024. Sixteen teams split across two groups will undergo a double-elimination bo3 bracket to kick off the tournament in the first week of October.

The $250,000 USD event switches to a single-elimination bo3 bracket for the playoffs with the grand-final taking place on 13th October 2024. The winner walks away with $100,000 USD and a direct invite to IEM Katowice 2025.
