The MongolZ's EPL Playoffs Ro16 opponents revealed
The only Asian team in the ESL Pro League Season 20 Playoffs, The MongolZ, have their opponents for their playoffs round 1 (Ro16) revealed with the Mongolian team set to take on BIG.
The MongolZ, who were placed in Group B, started with a 0-2 loss to 3DMAX which dropped them to the Lower Bracket and while the managed to get past KOI in the LB round 1 game, they fell to the Last Chance Stage after a loss to Spirit. The MongolZ saw off 9z in the Last Chance Stage and then dished out sweet revenge to 3DMAX to book the final Playoffs spot from Group B.
Taking on The MongolZ, will be tabseN and co., with BIG making it to the Playoffs through Group C. BIG, like The MongolZ, also started their EPL campaign with a loss, to Imperial but fought back in the Lower bracket against Rooster, fnatic and Complexity to go through as the third team from Group C.
It's not going to be an easy run for The MongolZ though as should they manage to get past BIG, they will have to face Eternal Fire in the Ro12 game and Vitality await them post that in the quarter-finals should they take down the Turkish side.
The MongolZ's ESL Pro League Season 20 Playoff campaign kicks off on September 17, 2024 at 16:30 IST.
