Mixed result to end ECL S48 league campaign for Gods Reign
In the final round of their league games in the ESL Challenger League Season 48 Asia, Gods Reign faced DEWA United with the Indian team desperate to end their league campaign on a winning note.
The opening BO1 went to Inferno, where Gods Reign started with a big 8-4 half on their CT half before DEWA United fought back. Gods Reign held off the comeback attempt and locked in a 13-10 win with Ph1NNN and reV3nnnn leading the scoreboard with 19 kills each.
Ancient was a back-and-forth affair which saw Gods Reign start with a tied half on their T side before Haze-v-'s heroics kept DEWA in the game and push it to overtime. Haze-v- ended the match with 37 kills which saw DEWA steal away a 16-14 win in overtime to end the latest round of games in a 1-1 manner against the Indian team.
With the completion of the latest round of games, Gods Reign finish the league stage with 39 points from 13 wins and 17 losses meaning they finish the Regular Season in 10th position and have qualified for the Playoffs. Gods Reign have made it to the Lower Bracket in the Playoffs and will face SayGGTeam in their Lower Bracket Round 1 game on October 15, 2024 at 17:30 IST.
