Skyesports set to host AMD Game on 2024

Skyesports has announced their latest Counter-Strike 2 venture where they are set to host AMD Game On 2024. The tournament offers a prize pool of ₹300,000 INR and features a format to include both established and emerging teams.

The tournament structure consists of three phases. The initial Open Qualifiers will operate on a single-elimination basis with bo3 matches throughout, from which four teams will advance. These teams will join four invited teams in the Closed Qualifiers, where eight teams will be divided into two groups of four for a league-style group stage.

The Main Event will feature the top four teams from the Closed Qualifiers competing in a single-elimination bracket. While the semi-finals will be bo3 matches, the grand finals will be played in a bo5 format to determine the champion.

Teams participating in the Indian Open Qualifiers must field at least three Indian players in their active lineup. Additionally, players must be at least 16 years old and free of any VAC bans to participate.

AMD Game On comes as Skyesports' fourth Counter-Strike outing in 2024. Their own previous event- Skyesports Championship saw teams like ENCE, Eternal Fire, The MongolZ and 3DMAX among others, battle it in a $300,000 USD LAN at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India.

According Skyesports' Counter-Strike 2 calendar for 2024, September and October were supposed to host two events- Skyesports Souvenir and Skyesports Global Tour which might have been postponed or discarded. More information on the same shall follow as and when made public by the organizer.
