3DMAX smash The MongolZ to pick up Skyesports Championship 2024 title

Clinical performance from the French team

The controversial $300,000 tournament, the Skyesports Championship 2024, which had a disastrous start and then bounced back to finish the event, approached its final match of the five-day event with The MongolZ taking on 3DMAX.

Anubis was the the French's pick and a strong CT half from them saw them start with a big 9-3 lead. Ex3rcice kicked off the second half with a 1v3 pistol clutch and 3DMAX picked up a comfortable 13-4 win. Ancient saw The MongolZ start the map pick with a 4-1 lead before 3DMAX bounced back to take a 7-5 lead. A strong T side saw 3DMAX run away with a 13-6 win to lock in a comfortable 2-0 series win.

With 3DMAX taking the Skyesports Championship 2024 title, they head home with a prize money of $120,000 while The MongolZ's second place finish sees them net $70,000. 3DMAX, who made it to the main event through the European Closed Qualifier, completes their stunning run in the $300,000 tournament and takes the mantle of champions with just one BO1 loss in the entire event, which came in the group stages against Eternal Fire.
