The top three finishers from Asia RMR earning their Major spots
With three days of gripping matches, involving some of the best Counter-Strike Asia has ever seen, with controversies, battle symphonies, heartbreaks, and jubilation, the Asia RMR has come to a close, sending three teams onward to the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
The MongolZ (2-0)
Asia's best and the overwhelming favourites to go through, The MongolZ were the first team to make it to the Shanghai Major, doing it in clean fashion, taking down Alter Ego and DRILLAS to make sure they were secured a spot at the Major.
Rare Atom (2-0)
Chinese team, Rare Atom, who have been missing the Majors for the last couple of years, made it to their home Major after dominating GR and TALON in the upper bracket. Rare Atom had the cleanest run in the Asia RMR, without dropping a single map, something even The MongolZ couldn't do. Rare Atom will have all the home support at the Major as the Chinese fans will be backing their boys.
FlyQuest (3-1)
Australian squad FlyQuest, who missed out on the first CS2 Major, the Copenhagen Major, were one of the invited teams to the Asia RMR but dexter's squad had a horror start in the upper bracket, going down to TALON. The Aussies fought tooth and nail in the lower bracket, dispatching GR, hanging on against DRILLAS and then finally denying Lynn Vision a spot at their home Major, to lock in the final spot at the Shanghai Major from the Asia RMR.
