MESA Asia Series #2: Preview

MESA recently announced the MESA Asia Series #2. The tournament comes as the second-in-line in the MESA Asia Series circuit. The recently concluded MESA Asia Series #1 saw GR take the title after defeating IHC in the final. However, the top four from the previous tournament have made it to the second tournament.

The MESA Asia Series #2 is set to begin tomorrow (20th November 2024) and will run for four days, following the same format as the MESA Asia Series #1. Carrying a prize pool of $10,000 USD, Series #2 starts with eight teams put in a double-elimination bracket across two groups. Top three teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination bracket playoffs where the top four teams advance to the next phase- Series #2. The grand-final will play out as a bo5.

IHC, The Huns, GR Gaming and Chinggis Warriors have booked their Series #2 spots through the MESA Asia Series #1 and the remaining four spots were claimed by ATOX, CatEvil, Just Swing and SGGT through the Asia Open Qualifier.

Kicking things off in group A will be IHC against CatEvil at 10:30AM IST tomorrow. Group B's opening game will run parallel to it's counterpart as GR lock horns with SGGT.
