CatEvil completes a stunning comeback to send Chinggis Warriors home
The final game of the opening day at the MESA Asia Series 2 was the Group A lower bracket final with CatEvil eliminating Chinggis Warriors to keep themselves alive in the tournament following a brilliant comeback from the Chinese team.
Chinggis Warriors' T side got things going on Anubis and continuous B hits saw Chinggis Warriors go 9-3 up. Roninbaby's early aggression saw CatEvil bring it to a two round game before Chinggis Warriors shut down a late B hit to get back on the board. Following a couple of back and forth rounds which saw the score tied at 11-11, tanxiaomei and rubeN nearly pulled off a 2v5 but fell short at the final kill which saw Chinggis Warriors hit map point first. A quick A hit in the final round of regulation helped CatEvil stay in the match as Biuckmt pushed the map to overtime.
It was CatEvil, continuing their late resurgence from regulation to close things out in overtime at 16-13 with Roninbaby ending with 31 kills. The win puts CatEvil into the quarter-finals while Chinggis Warriors head home while the action at the MESA Asia Series 2 will continue tomorrow as Group B's action kicks off.
