ATOX; IHC book MESA Asia Series upper-final
Group A's opening game at the MESA Asia Series #2 saw CatEvil take on IHC in a bo1 on Ancient. After IHC built up a commanding lead, CatEvil did well to catch up and nearly close the gap at 9-7 but unfortunately the Chinese team had to walk away from the game as one of their players could not establish connection to the server due to technical issues.
This resulted in CatEvil forfeiting their opening game, sending IHC to the upper-final in group A. The second game however, saw a complete match on Anubis between Chinggis Warriors and ATOX. ATOX, who initially were supposed to compete at the first tournament in the circuit, were replaced at the last moment due to their roster uncertainties.
Starting on the T-side of Anubis, ATOX dominated with an 8-4 lead in the first half as MiQ went ballistic, dropping 16 frags in the half, with an ADR of 141 and a HLTV rating of 2.23 on the T-side. Switching over, Chinggis Warriors took the pistol and anti-eco, showing early signs of stitching up a comeback.
ATOX however, took control in the gun rounds, washing away Chinggis Warriors with a 13-7 scoreline on Anubis. With this win, ATOX have setup their upper-final match against IHC and Chinggis Warriors will face CatEvil in the elimination match in the lower-final.
