Shanghai Major: Opening matches confirmed

Following Valve's Regional Standings update that determined the seedings for teams and Elimination Stage candidates from the European RMR, Perfect World has confirmed the opening round matchups in the Opening Stage. The seeding process will consider results and performance at the the previous Major.

Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major's first set of games in the opening round will take place between FURIA-GamerLegion and Virtus.pro-MIBR at 08:30AM IST this Saturday. Fast-forward to the last set of games on the first day and we have two intra-regional clashes. The MongolZ will take on Rare Atom at 11:30AM alongside the Brazilian derby between paIN and Imperial.

The seeding update has sent G2, NAVI, Vitality, MOUZ, Spirit, FaZe, HEROIC and 3DMAX straight to the Elimination Stage of the Major.

The Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major starts this weekend- 30th November 2024 with sixteen teams locking horns in a swiss bracket to determine the eight teams that advance to the Elimination Stage where a similar format determines the playoffs candidates. Representing Asia, The MongolZ and Rare Atom will start in the Opening Stage.
