Number of Diamond Coin holders after Shanghai Major revealed

An interesting statistic was recently revealed by Leetify, that took a look at the Pickems for the recently concluded Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. A Major where the heavy favorites Vitality and G2 failed to make it past the semi-finals, not many were able to claim the Diamond Coin.

As it turns out, only a small proportion, amounting to 0.6% were able to secure the Diamond Coin. 66.4% of the players who bought the pass had to settle for a gold coin, while 28.3% got silver, leaving the rest with a bronze coin.

Compared to previous Majors, the turnout is still massive for Diamond Coins. In the past two years, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 had only 0.1% make it all the way, while BLAST Paris Major 2023 and IEM Rio 2022 had a proportion of 0.3% and 0.1% Diamond Coin holders respectively.
