BLAST Bounty invited teams announced

BLAST announced that all the invitations sent out earlier this month for the inaugural season of the BLAST Bounty have been accepted. Team Falcons were unveiled as one of the wildcard teams as they complied with the required criteria. BLAST has mentioned that the other wildcard team will be announced by the end of the year.

A little over a month ago, The MongolZ withdrew from ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND LAN in Shanghai, in the month of January 2025, citing scheduling conflicts which hinted at The MongolZ being a part of BLAST Bounty. The MongolZ are one of the invited teams at the BLAST Bounty, the only Asian team at the event.

As the name suggests, the tournament revolves around a bounty-hunting theme where seed-based bounties are placed on teams, making way for teams with lower seeds to make big bucks off of top teams. 50% of the winnings in bounty are confirmed where as the other 50% carries over to the next game. Seeds are reset every round and once again, lower seeded teams can choose their opponent of choice.
