torzsi revealed as first player of the HLTV Top 20 for 2024

The first name in HLTV's Top 20 Players of the Year has been revealed and it is MOUZ's AWPer torzsi, with the Hungarian making his first appearance in the Top 20 Players of the Year lists and also becomes the first Hungarian to make the list.

torzsi had a rating of 1.09 over the course of 2024 with an ADR of 71.7. His best individual performance came at the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, which MOUZ won and the Hungarian ended up with a rating of 1.29. He had a strong start to the 2024 year, putting up a 1.12 rating at IEM Katowice 2024, a 1.25 rating at the first-ever CS2 Major - the PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major and a 1.14 rating at ESL Pro League Season 19, where MOUZ successfully defended their EPL title.

MOUZ struggled towards the end of the year, as did torzsi, with the BLAST World Final 2024 being his worst event, putting up a 0.75 rating which saw MOUZ finish in 5th-6th place. The final tournament for the Hungarian for the year was the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, where MOUZ exited in the semi-finals, with torzsi putting up a rating of 1.04. His strong performances, especially in the first of the season also saw him take two Exceptionally Valuable Player titles (EPL S19 and BB Dacha 2024).

The Hungarian picked his compatriot xelex, who is with MOUZ NXT as his 'Bold Prediction' to breakthrough and rise up the ranks soon.
