Eruption book upper final at MESA Asia Series

After a narrow win against IHC earlier today, Eruption squared up against ATOX in the upper semi-final of the MESA Asia Series 2024 Final. The first map took us to Anubis where ATOX started on the T-side with a 7-2 lead. Eruption managed to rack up a couple of rounds towards the end but ATOX ended up taking the first half 8-4.

Switching over, Eruption took full advantage of the T-sidedness of Anubis, closing in on ATOX's lead right out the gate. An AK-47 triple entry sequence from sk0R at 9-9 broke ATOX's economy as Eruption ran with the momentum to close the map 13-10 and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Starting on the CT-side of Nuke, Eruption did well to contain ATOX's early aggression with sideffect and sk0R putting up multi-frags in the pistol and anti-eco. ATOX never really showed up on Nuke, netting Eruption a 9-3 half, just four rounds away from booking the upper final.

A clean 4-0 T-side saw Eruption close out Nuke 13-3 to wrap the series 2-0 and confirm their upper final appearance where they either face Rare Atom or The Huns. sideffect put up 38 frags across the series for Eruption at an impressive 114.6 ADR, holding a HLTV rating of 1.59. ATOX still remain in contention but will have to fight their way through the lower-bracket.
