FlyQuest falls to the Danish reverse sweep

A device special sends the Aussies home from Katowice

FlyQuest failed to capitalise on a stunning start against Astralis in the lower bracket game at the IEM Katowice 2025 Play-In as the Australian squad couldn't close the series after a stunning Train performance.

Astralis' pick of Train got things going as the Australian squad put up a stunning defensive hold to go 10-2 up. A device pistol clutch and another 1v3 kept the Danes in the game but it was too much to do for the multiple Major winner as FlyQuest closed out a dominant Train performance at 13-5.

The Danes answered back in style on Ancient with a commanding 11-1 defensive half. Astralis held on against a spirited CT half to secure Ancient at 13-7 to send the series to a decider on Inferno. Inferno started in back and forth manner with a tied opening half and while FlyQuest's second half pistol and conversion saw them take a 9-6 lead but the Danes fought back to steal the map at 13-11 to reverse sweep the series 2-1 with device's AWP shutting down any overtime chances.
