ATOX topple Rooster
Starting on the T-side of Mirage, Rooster got off to a strong start, handing ATOX a 1-6 disadvantage courtesy of dpr and asap catching the CT's off guard with their contact plays and mid-round aggression. ATOX pulled off a couple of exceptional retakes towards A, giving them the momentum to salvage a 5-7 half.
Rooster dropped just a single round before reaching match point at 12-6 but ATOX's T-side in towards the endgame left Rooster stunned, as the Mongolians put up six rounds in a row to close the gap and push the game into overtime. The Aussies recovered and dominated overtime, closing out Mirage 16-13, with dpr delivering a 1.98 rating performance, boasting an impressive 128 ADR.
On Inferno, ATOX returned the favor, putting Rooster at a 3-9 disadvantage in the first half, as MiQ stepped up with a 127 ADR performance on the T-side, holding a 2.44 T-side rating. Rooster's comeback hopes depended on winning the pistol and anti-eco to farm subsequent rounds, but ATOX did not drop a single round in the second half, closing out Inferno 13-3.
The decider took us to Dust2 where Rooster started on the CT-side with pistol and anti-eco wins but ATOX did not let things get out of hand. It was MiQ once again who delivered a stellar T-side performance, putting up 17 frags in the first half with a T-side rating of 2.18 and an ADR of 132, fetching ATOX a 7-5 half in their favor despite the early disadvantage.
Rooster could not penetrate ATOX's CT-side once the sides switched over, as ATOX closed out Dust2 13-6, dropping just a single round in the second half. The 2-1 series win sends ATOX to the semi-final where they are set to face either TYLOO or Rare Atom.
