Gods Reign's fight not enough against Rare Atom
Rare Atom handed Gods Reign back-to-back losses in the latest round of ESL Challenger League Season 49 Asia-Pacific although the Indian team put up a better fight in the second BO1 after a poor showing in the opening game.
After suffering a big defeat on Inferno in the previous BO1, the Indian team removed Inferno in their first move in the veto which eventually led to Ancient being the playground for the action.
Rare Atom started with a clean pistol on their T side and converted against the force and eco before Rossi came in with a big 1v1 against somebody in the first gun round to get the Indian team on the board. A Bhavi quad gave Gods Reign their second but that was about it as the Chinese team once again started with a big lead, this time at 9-3.
A Summer quad-kill in the second pistol saw Rare Atom lock in both pistols on Ancient before Gods Reign put down their foot to bring the score from 3-11 to 7-11. After four consecutive T rounds, Gods Reign lost the momentum as a clean shut down saw Rare Atom hit match point before they locked in a 13-7 win.
Following the latest round of games, Gods Reign are in 14th place out of the 16 teams, with 1 win from their 4 games and sit with 3 points. The Indian team are four places off from making the Playoffs.
