Rare Atom win MESA Asian Masters 2025; locks in PGL Bucharest 2025 spot

Rare Atom go clean in the BO5 Grand Final

After a scrappy run to the final of the MESA Asian Masters 2025, Rare Atom finally found some form as they clean swept Russian squad HOTU 3-0 to not only win the event but also secure a spot at PGL Bucharest 2025, becoming the second Asian team at the event after The MongolZ.

Rare Atom kicked things off on HOTU's pick of Train with a strong CT half, taking a four round lead before having to fend off a strong CT half from the Russian squad itself to take a 13-10 win with the final couple of rounds being a scrappy mess from both sides. HOTU's CT half set the tone on Mirage as Re1GN and youka helped their team go 7-5 up but the somebody show saw Rare Atom fight back on a stellar defensive hold that saw them steal a 13-11 win to go 2-0 up in the BO5 final.

Anubis was a lop-sided affair after two close maps as Rare Atom's T side sealed the deal for them with ChildKing and somebody powering the Chinese team to a 13-4 win to close the final 3-0.

By winning MESA Asian Masters 2025, Rare Atom books their place at PGL Bucharest 2025, as the team from the Asian qualifier, which will take place between April 5 - 13, 2025 in Romania with a prize pool of $1,250,000.
