The MongolZ eliminates FURIA from Bucharest
The MongolZ kept themselves alive at PGL Bucharest 2025 after taking down FURIA in a scrappy affair in their elimination game to move into the 2-2 bracket and send the Brazilians home.
The MongolZ's pick of Mirage started with the Brazilian squad finding momentum early on, on their CT half before the MongolZ scraped together a couple of rounds to end with five T rounds. It was much cleaner from The MongolZ on their defensive half as they dropped just two rounds in the second half to run away to a 13-9 win.
Nuke started with a trade of rounds almost all throughout the opening half as each team answered back with a force to see a tied opening half. The second half kicked off in a back-and-forth affair as well before a quad kill from mzinho and a triple MAC-10 opener from Techno saw The MongolZ finally find footing and they closed out Nuke at 13-11 to seal the 2-0. The MongolZ now move into the 2-2 bracket and will have to win one more BO3 encounter to make the Playoffs.
