FURIA eliminate Nouns

FURIA have kept themselves alive at IEM Dallas 2023 and eliminated Nouns after a quick win over American core team, with the latter just managing to win a total of seven rounds across the two maps.

Group A's lower bracket round 1 game kicked off Noun's pick of Inferno. FURIA kicked things off on the CT side and picked up the first pistol of the series. Nouns responded on upgraded pistols with MarKE's double on the Tec9 helping Nouns tie things up at 1-1. FURIA retook the lead with a force of their own as KSCERATO's double was enough to seal the round. A triple and quad kill from arT in consecutive rounds saw FURIA go 4-1 up. Double multi-kill rounds from bwills and MarKE saw Nouns put back-to-back rounds together to secure their fourth T round.

KSCERATO's 1v2 against MarKE and Bwills on the B site saw FURIA win out the first half, as the Brazilians secured eight. KSCERATO made it two back-to-back clutches, as he won out a 1v1 against Bwills on the A site to continue FURIA's dominance on the CT half. The Brazilians closed out the first half with a 11-4 lead.

drop won out a 1v2 in the second pistol due to CTs not having enough time to defuse, which saw FURIA pick up the second pistol as well and secure 12 rounds. FURIA closed out the map, going flawless on the T side to win the map 16-4. It was a complete team performance from the Brazilians with arT leading from the front with 18 kills.

arT was calling the shots and hitting them too on Inferno

The second map was FURIA's pick of Anubis with the Brazilians starting on the CT side. Nouns picked up the opening pistol on Anubis but FURIA bounced back as they put up a stellar defensive hold to go 8-2 up in no time as it was saffee and arT who stepped up for FURIA. cynic's double on the B site saw Noun pick up their third round but three was all they could manage as FURIA ended the opening half with a 12-3 lead.

yuurih was the heavy-hitter on Anubis with 22 kills and a 1.78 rating

MarKE's double opener seemed like Nouns would take the second pistol but FURIA turned around a 2v4 to pick up their T sided pistol. Quick conversions against the force buy and eco from Nouns, saw FURIA secure match and series point at 15-3. The Brazilians won the map 16-3 as it was arT double to close the map with yuurih ending the map with 22 kills and on top of the scoreboard.
