All eight franchises revealed

Hyderabad-based esports organisation, Velocity Gaming has been announced as the eighth and final Skyesports Masters franchise.

Velocity Gaming has picked up the RDX team, who won the Skyesports Masters Café Qualifiers in Kolkata. The team has revealed their seven-man roster, which includes an international player, from the United States of America, in the form of Keven “KevinR” Ross Russel, who has been competing around the world since 2004. The team also boasts of a number of experienced players who have previously taken part in various competitions including ESL and IEM ones.

The Velocity Gaming roster consists of:

  • Bodhisattwa “The_Guru” Panday

  • Dipayan “MaChOleleR” Das

  • Tamajit “Logan” Ghosal

  • Kevin “KevinR” Ross Russell

  • Muhammad “Syahhftw” Shyarul Daneal Bin Arif

  • Thomas “TAV” Kurian

  • Nairit “L0sttt” Banerjee

Counter-Strike has always been an interesting esports title, and while it hasn’t been able to grow exponentially in India, I believe the Skyesports Masters is the first step to making that happen. Skyesports has also managed to make this event very viable in the long run for franchised teams. I believe this is the first time in Indian esports something like this is happening. We don’t want to miss out on this amazing opportunity.”
Manoj Kashyap, Founder and CEO of Velocity Gaming

The Skyesports Masters League stage will see eight franchise teams battle it out for a prize pool of INR 2 crore. The League stage kicks off from July 8, 2023 and the Playoffs will be a LAN event, scheduled for August 26 and August 27, 2023.

Velocity Gaming is a name synonymous with PC esports in India. It’d be an injustice to organize India’s biggest gaming tournament without the organization. I am thrilled that Manoj and Velocity believe in our vision for the Skyesports Masters and Counter-Strike. Their involvement is a testament to the potential and longevity of the league.”
Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports

With all eight franchises confirmed, the teams are:

  • Gods Reign

  • Revenant Esports

  • Marcos Gaming

  • Enigma Gaming

  • Reckoning Esports

  • Medal Esports

  • 7Sea Esports

  • Velocity Gaming
