ESL releases the invite list for IEM Sydney Closed Qualifiers

In anticipation of the October 2023 IEM Sydney, ESL has unveiled the list of teams to participate in the Closed Qualifiers.

Hailing from the Asian region, TheMongolz have secured an invitation to compete in the Closed Qualifiers. Due to their impressive run at IEM Cologne and IEM Rio 2023, their ESL rankings have soared by an impressive +17, currently solidifying at the #25 spot.

Among other teams, Ex-Rare Atom were another team invited from the Asian region, has also received the privilege of participation. Meanwhile, the Oceania region will be represented by Vertex and Rooster, as they sit on the 61st and 79th rank respectively.

ESL also announced the list of teams to partake for the main event, featuring 8 of the top 10 teams, with the Danish teams Astralis and Heroic notably failing to secure positions in the list.

Out of the total remaining 5 spots, a single allocation has been reserved for the Asia region, while another distinct spot has been reserved for Oceania. The Closed Qualifiers will be online and are slated to unfold on 24th and 25th August.
