In a rematch of the Skyesports Masters semifinals, Gods Reign took on Marcos Gaming in the Grand Final of the CS GO Pro League 2023, with Gods Reign hoping to continue their stellar recent run while Marcos had revenge on mind.
Marcos was dominant on the T side of Inferno, putting up 10 rounds in the half to set up a massive lead for the second half. Gods Reign (GR) managed to take the pistol round win and the following force-buy, but Marcos held strong in the gun rounds. GR still got the score-line up to 12-12 even taking the lead at 14-13. Marcos however managed to sneak the map away at the end at 16-14.
Moving to Ancient, Marcos once again started with an advantage, but that was short lived as this time Gods Reign's attack put up a massive 10 round half on the less favored T side thanks to Crazy_Gamer, who went absolutely massive.
Marcos picked up the second pistol round to set up them T side. And they used that momentum to build back into the game, going up to a 8-10 score-line before GR took the gun round. There was no stopping Gods Reign after that as they smit down the Marcos Gaming attack, getting all the way up to 14. A 1v1 win for Rider gave Marcos their 9th out but that was all as GR closed the map out 16-9.
Final frontier of Overpass, Marcos kicked the map off with 3 rounds in a row. A trade of rounds brought Gods Reign on the board and they picked up 4 in a row to tie the score up at 5-5. The Skyesports Masters champions then went on to secure 3 in the half with Marcos coming alive in the dosing moments to steal way two as the opening half ended 8-7.
Yet another pistol for Marcos to tie the game up once again. That unfortunately was all that the CT side had to offer as Gods Reign's attack smashed through round after round to secure the series 2-1 as Crazy Gamer and Ember both put up 20+ frags. With that win secured Gods Reign are the CS GO Pro League 2023 Champions, taking yet another trophy in their recent streak of form.
