KingPins eliminate Invasion Esports

KingPins faced Invasion Esports in the quarterfinals of the Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 4 with the former 7Sea Esports core looking to book their final four spot.

After initial back and forth trades, KingPins built themselves a 7-3 lead on the T-side of Overpass. Invasion Esports stepped up their game on the CT-side and closed the gap at 7-7, neutralizing KingPins' lead and even managed to secure a comparatively favorable 8-7 score line in the first half. hattygOD came through for KingPins with 17 frags in the first half.

KingPins won the pistol round to start off the second half but failed the convert the anti-eco. With this dent in the economy of KingPins, Invasion Esports strung up 3 in a row to reach 11-8, before KingsPin's economy could stabilize. With a series of good CT-setups in the rounds that followed, KingPins levelled the score at 11-11 but Invasion Esports with just Tec9s stole a round against KingPins' full buy.

Invasion Esports quickly reached match point at 11-15 and even with a weak buy, KingPins managed to win the round and break Invasion Esports' economy at 12-15. coden@m3-21 clutched a 1v2 and Invasion Esports closed out Overpass 16-13, going 1-0 up in the quarter finals. The trio of Amaz1nG, coden@m3-21 and SWAG 3K stepped up for Invasion Esports with 26, 23 and 21 frags on Overpass, meanwhile hattygOD topped the board for KingPins with 27 frags.

Invasion Esports got off to a 3-0 start on the T-side of Ancient but KingPins recovered to level the score at 3-3 and even went on to build a solid 9-3 lead. KingPins kept brute forcing their way into mid and banana but once enough presence was shown, would rotate back to choke points, catching Invasion Esports off guard. Invasion Esports could not secure a single round after their initial 3-0 start, as KingPins closed out a 12-3 CT-half in their favor with the trio of B2 -iwnl, ELV1S and BENZENE dropping 16, 15 and 14 frags in the first half.

Invasion Esports won a couple of rounds to start off the second half but KingPins, on their T-side closed out Ancient 16-5, levelling the series at 1-1, pushing it into the decider - Vertigo. The trio of ELV1S, B2 - iwnl and BENZENE finished Ancient with 21, 20 and 19 frags to their names.

KingPins got off to a great start on Vertigo, putting Invasion Esports at a 1-9 disadvantage on their T-side. Dropping just 3 rounds, KingPins secured a 12-3 CT-half on Vertigo, going into the second half standing within touching distance of a semi-finals appearance. Invasion Esports fumbled the anti-eco after winning the pistol round in the second half, off the back of which KingPins went 14-4. Invasion Esports managed to claw back a couple of rounds but KingPins closed out Vertigo 16-6, eliminating Invasion Esports in the quarter-finals and confirming their semi-finals spot in Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 4.

Bhavi dropped 25 frags on Vertigo for KingPins, followed by ELV1S at 20 and B2 -iwnl at 19 and for Invasion Esports, it was Amaz1nG who topped the board with 16 frags followed by Appu4k at 13.
