MOUZ book IEM Sydney 2023 Playoffs spot

The Group A upper bracket semi-final saw a rematch of the ESL Pro League Season 18 final as Natus Vincere (NAVI) faced MOUZ.

The series opener was NAVI's pick of Mirage with MOUZ starting with the pistol win on the CT side. It was a 6-0 start for MOUZ before NAVI managed to put together an A hit to get them on board. It was a strong half for MOUZ though, which saw them take a an 8-4 lead.

b1t's triple opener at Connector saw NAVI take the second pistol and it was a solid defensive half from Aleksib and co. as they saw off three map points to take the map to overtime. MOUZ though were just too strong in overtime and won the map 16-13.

Inferno was MOUZ's pick but it was complete dominating from NAVI on their CT side as they took a 9-3 lead before they closed out the map at 13-4 with b1t having a stellar map at 29-0-5 with 153 ADR.

b1t single-handedly kept NAVI in the series

Ancient was the series decider with NAVI starting on the T side. It was a back-and-forth half with MOUZ having the early advantage but NAVI managed to keep it competitive at 5-7. MOUZ retook a 5v5 to pick up the second pistol and it was relatively clean after that as they secured Ancient at 13-6 and picked up the series 2-1.

The win puts MOUZ into the Playoffs and now will face the winner of the BetBoom and GamerLegion match. NAVI will next go up against the winner of the Vitality and FaZe game to keep their Playoff hopes alive.
