TheMongolz, TYLOO start journey to Jönköping with wins
As four of Asia's top teams battle it out to book their spot at the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2023, their journey to Sweden started with the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2023 Asia Closed Qualifier.
TheMongolz vs Rare Atom
TheMongolz faced Rare Atom in the upper bracket semi-final with TheMongolz's pick of Inferno getting things underway.
It was TheMongolz taking a 7-5 lead to start things but Rare Atom came in with a strong T side of their own in the second half to take the game to overtime. In overtime though, Rare Atom ran out of gas as TheMongolz closed out the map at 16-13.
Next up was Rare Atom's pick of Vertigo with TheMongolz starting with a 8-4 lead on their CT side. Leading at 11-8, it seemed Rare Atom were all set to take us to a third map but TheMongolz bounced back to take us to overtime. TheMongolz managed to hold on in overtime to secure the map at 16-13 and take the series 2-0.

TYLOO vs Wings Up
The second upper bracket semi-final saw TYLOO take on Wings Up and Wings Up's pick of Mirage was a blowout as TYLOO started with a 8-4 lead on their CT side and a clean T side saw them win the map at 13-4.
Nuke was TYLOO's pick and it was an even 6-6 half to start things off. Like the opening half, it was a 6-6 second half too which saw the game go to overtime. TYLOO though managed to hang on to take Nuke at 16-14 and take the series 2-0.
