jks was a part of G2's IEM Cologne 2023 win

Media: G2 ghosts jks

SPUNJ speaks out on podcast

In the latest installment of the talk show "Talking Counter", SPUNJ speaks out about the series of events preceding the benching of G2's rifler jks.

In their recent roster move, G2 reeled in nexa from OG, most likely expecting the Serbian to assume leadership responsibilities. nexa was replacing jks but the latter's benching was never announced by G2, leaving jks in the dark.

In the talk show, SPUNJ says that after IEM Sydney 2023, G2 weren't even talking to jks. In fact, jks reached out to G2 through text messages in order to plan his travel to Europe for practice, but G2 did not reply and just ghosted jks.

"We're talking about a professional organization, one of the most well known eSports brands going around and the manager is ghosting one of the players! What the f**k are we talking about?"

The community showed their discontent and disappointment towards G2 on social media, highlighting that while replacing jks was a decision left to the organization, the manner in which he was treated was unprofessional.

SPUNJ goes on to say that G2 should have put out the announcement at the earliest so that jks would have ample time to explore his options and find a team before the next Major cycle.
