Gen.G unveils new CS2 roster

Gen.G fields full Chinese roster

Earlier today, Gen.G announced their new Counter-Strike 2 roster with a post on Weibo. The roster now entails a full Chinese team with Kyo as the coach.

At the end of 2023 Gen.G took to Weibo, the Chinese social media platform to announce their return to Counter-Strike. The Korean-American based organization was looking to build a Chinese/Asian Counter-Strike roster.

Gen.G's interest in the Chinese region is not new and dates all the way back to 2019, when the organization opened their office in Shangai and invested into a local NBA 2k franchise.

Gen.G entered the Counter-Strike scene by signing Cloud9's roster in 2019 and despite getting off to a successful start, the venture never really took off, plagued by the pandemic and numerous other issues resulting in their exit from Counter-Strike 3 years ago in November 2020.

Gen.G has now re-entered the Counter-Strike scene after a 3-year break and their new roster reads as follows:

s1
rosar
sanres
screamy
miracle
Kyo (Coach)
