Grayhound eliminate JijieHao
The lower bracket semi-final of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Asia RMR saw one of the favourites in Grayhound face JiJieHao.
Starting off on the T-side of Anubis, JijieHao secured back to back conversions off of the pistol round win to go 3-0 but once the gun rounds began, they stood no chance against the Grayhound’s CT-setups. The Aussies secured a massive 9-3 half with a 9 round streak as everyone stepped up with individual impact.
After JijieHao got the pistol and anti-eco to start off the second half ISSAA and m1n1 stepped up to claw back a couple of rounds but eventually Grayhound held their ground and closed out Anubis 13-7 to go 1-0 up in the series.
The second map took us to Vertigo where once again JijieHao got the pistol round but this time fumbled the anti-eco, off of which Grayhound sewed together a 9-round streak, putting JijieHao at a 3-9 disadvantage in the first half.
JijieHao went 4/4 for pistols winning the first two rounds of the second half. A lights out performance from m1N1 saw JijieHao fight an uphill battle to close the gap 7-10 but eventually a 1v3 for was too much to chalk up for El1an, giving Grayhound the match point at 12-7.
Grayhound closed out Anubis 13-7, wrapping up the series 2-0 and ending JijieHao's RMR run in the lower bracket. Grayhound will now face ATOX in the lower bracket final for a spot in the consolidation final.
